With the owner's manual in hand the Wanderers Orrery takes just minutes to assemble. It illustrates correct relative motion, so the nine planets are displayed in a stunning union of art and science. The natural subtleties of the semi-precious stone planets, moons and Sun ensures a one-of-a-kind artistic appeal. Beneath the orbiting planets the solid brass-geared mechanism operates within a glass dome Each planet orbits independently around the Sun. Each of the planet arms can be composed to a desired position while stationary. Once the orrery is activated, they complete their orbits at correct relative speeds. An 12 sided handcrafted base of golden oak contains the hidden drive motor, batteries (included) and on/off switch. The 9 planets, 28 moons and 2" Sun are all made of beautiful semi-precious stone spheres. The planet stones will vary naturally by availability. Owner's manual and 2 C batteries included.
