TV Ears advanced microchip instantaneously amplifies words while dampening background noise so that voices are heard clearly. The headset's volume operates independently of the television, enabling the wear to increase the headset volume while the TV can be turned down or muted. The technology also automatically lowers audio "bursts" during commercials to prevent jarring spikes in volume.
