Serendipity
This was originally supposed to be a date with Matthew Shipp and Gerald Cleaver (that eventually took place a week later and released as The Foreign Legion CD LR 643). One of the musicians was late and couldn't reach us at the studio so William Parker was called. By the time he got to the recording the missing musician showed up as well and it became a quartet date. Serendipity indeed, as the music here shows. --Ivo Perelman
