Kiri Te Kanawa Sings Mozart & Strauss
The New Zealand-born soprano first appeared on stage in Die Zauberflote and shot to operatic stardom as the Countess in Le Nozze Di Figaro. She revisits both here plus Zaide, Cosi Fan Tutte, Idomeneo, Il Re Pastore, and more Mozart on disc one. She has also made a specialty of Strauss since the '70s, and does so here on disc two with selections from Arabella, Vier Letzte Lieder, Die Nacht, Morgen, Allerseelen, and more!
