CCUMRA1 Marine Wired Remote Adapter Cable

Use your existing pre-2009 Clarion Wired Marine remotes with a newer 2009 and later Clarion Marine Radio. Many boat owners of newer Clarion Marine Radios found that their wired remotes are not compatible with the new Radio. This is because Clarion changed the plug for the wired remote for all Marine Radios in 2009. That leaves the boat owner with the only option to run new cables. That is unless you connect the CCUMRA1 adapter cable which makes it possible to install any 2009 and newer Wired Remote Ready Marine Radio with an 8-pin DIN connector and retain use of existing wired remotes with a 6-pin DIN plug. Here's a checklist for a successful installation: * The CCUMRA1 has an 8-Pin Male DIN for connection to a new radio and a 6-pin Female DIN which connects to an existing remote cable. * Connects a new 2009 & up Marine remote ready Radio such as a CMV1, CMD6, CMD8, M303, M309 or CMS1 to an old style before 2009 wired marine remote like a CMRC1, CMRC2, M101RC, etc. * Connects directly to the new radio allowing retention of an M101RYC 6-Pin Marine Remote Y-cable or a M101RXC 6-Pin Marine Remote Extension cable. * Remotes with LCD Display such as a CMRC1SB, CMRC1BSS, M301RCE, etc. remain functional but their LCD will be blank. * The Mute button on non-LCD remotes like a CMRC2SB or CMRC2BSS may not function. * Old style Clarion wired marine remotes do not support IR remote signal pass-through so you will need to point the remote directy at the radio.
